Ernst Haupt-Stummer

Born 1933 in Tovarníky, Slovakia, as the youngest son of Leo and Helene Haupt-Stummer, nee Gutmann - siblings Leo (1929 - 40) and Eleonore (born 1930). 1945 escape to Kammer am Attersee, Austria. Since 1947 Haupt-Stummer has been living in Vienna. In 1950 he entered the master school for stage design at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Emil Pirchan. In 1955 he completed his education with a degree in business administration and economics at the universities from Hamburg and Munich. In addition to the management of his advertising agency, he remains artistically active, making contacts with Ernst Fuchs and Arik Brauer, giving chamber music concerts privately. After retiring from the advertising and PR industry in 1994, he dedicates himself to painting and music only and receives - after numerous exhibitions and concerts - the composition commission for his oil paintings "The 4 Apocalyptic Riders" to Johanna Doderer - premiere on December 11, 2013 in the Vienna Konzerthaus.
