Walter Kobéra
Walter Kobéra is one of the leading conductors of contemporary music theater. Through the numerous successful premieres and premieres under his direction, he has decisively shaped Viennese musical life in recent years. Since 1991, Walter Kobéra has been the musical director of the New Opera in Vienna, since 1993 also director. He began to study violin at the age of seven at the Vienna Conservatory. From 1978 he was a member of the Tonkünstler Orchestra of Lower Austria, also as a conductor and musical assistant to Isaac Karabtchevsky and Fabio Luisi. In 1986 he founded his amadeus ensemble-wien, which has specialized in contemporary music theater in recent years. Acclaimed by the press and the public, his interpretations were, among others, by Bergs Lulu, Britten's Billy Budd, Lachenmann's The Matchmaker, Schedl's Triptych and the opera "PARADISE RELOAEDED (LILITH)" by Peter Eötvös.
