Ruth Schöffl
Ruth Schöffl (born August 28th, 1976) has been press officer for the the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (better known as UNHCR) in Vienna since 2010. In recent years she had to answer many inquiries, as the number of refugees worldwide is increasing. Although most refugees globally stay close to their home countries or even home regions, the topic of "refugees" has become a top priority in European and also in Austrian politics. Before joining the UNHCR, Ruth Schöffl worked in the NGO sector at Caritas Vienna and GLOBAL 2000.
