Simon Eder
Simon Eder (born February 23, 1983 in Zell am See) is a Salzburg biathlete from Saalfelden. The son of the trainer Alfred Eder, himself a successful biathlete, came to biathlon in 1995 and has been a member of the national Austrian team since 1998. His international career began in 2002 at the Junior World Championships in Ridnaun, where he won gold in singles. His final breakthrough Eder managed in the 2007/08 season. Five times he was able to get a place in the top ten of the World Cup. 5 World Cup wins, 4 World Championship medals, 2 JWM medals, 2 Olympic medals and a JWM medal crowned his career.
