Erich Fenninger
Erich Fenninger, born September 9th, 1963 in Bad Vöslau, is a social worker, human rights activist and since 2003 Federal Director of Volkshilfe Österreich and member of boards and supervisory boards of the social economy Austria, on the ORF public council and on the advisory board of FH St. Pölten. In the wake of the ongoing refugee crisis, Fenninger initiated "solidART for refugees" in September 2015, an initiative of artists and intellectuals. As the first action of this project, a solidarity concert for asylum seekers entitled "Voices for Refugees - Solidarity Concert for a Human Europe" took place on October 3, 2015 at Vienna's Heldenplatz with over 100,000 visitors.
