Dr. med., specialist for psychiatry and neurology, in private practice since 1990. Until 1995 senior physician at the Psychiatric Hospital of the Municipality of Vienna, Baumgartner Höhe. Member of the Vienna Psychoanalytical Association. From 2000 to 2016 editor of the "Zeitschrift für Psychoanalytische Theorie und Praxis" (Stroemfeld Verlag, Frankfurt am Main). From 2003 - July 2008 Managing Director of the Academy for Holistic Medicine - Gamed. Since 2007 member of the editorial board of the journal "Forschende Komplementärmedizin - Wissenschaft - Praxis - Diskussion". 2010 to 2012 "work package leader" in the project CAMbrella - the pan European research network for Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Lecturer since 1993 within the framework of psychotherapy trainings (propaedeutic, specialist, further education curriculum psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy). Lecturing activity ongoing (topics: Literature and Psychoanalysis, Psychoanalysis Clinic, Neuroses, Burn-Out Prophylaxis, Miscellaneous). Publications on psychoanalytical and cultural-theoretical topics. From 2008 to 2011 Vice President, from 2011 to 2013 President of the Sigmund Freud Society, Vienna. Since then board member. 2016 - 2018 Member of the Executive Board: Association Respekt.net, president of the association since 2018.
